dear ms katilena, i just wanted to tell you that i was doing some real work-work (which had to be interupted for this important discovery) when i ran across the word MEGALOPOLIS. do you remember this word? do you remember how we laughed and laughed when mr. senegalese spiritual leader used it while speaking to us of kant and locke? do you remember how we looked at each other as if to say c'mon, what can you expect from him? he's senegalese! well, baby, looks like it's a real word. i suppose we owe abdou an apology. he still smelled bad and i don't care what his mother heard from god, i'm not marrying him. but, i will apologize. abdou, i'm very sorry i made fun of you for knowing a word i didn't. i hope that in the future, people do not make fun of your unexpected vocabulary - though i do hope someone someday tells you about deodorant. love, jezebel
