i guess it's time for an update. i've been tres busy at work this week, as my coworker had a death in the family and i'm the only other one who can do ALL the work that files into this office. it doesn't help that we're in a particulate matter document crunch time. otherwise i'd even manage to leave early somedays. instead, i'll be working overtime this weekend. of course, that didn't stop me from taking a four hour lunch wednesday or a two hour one today. a girl's gotta have certain things... today it was shopping at southpoint. in other news: javi had to get his mumps/measles/rubella and chicken pox vaccinations last night. that boy is so strong it took me and a nurse to hold his legs still so the needle could get clearly in and out. for about an hour afterward my lil chunk kept his eyes on me and if i made any sudden movements, he screamed. i think the trauma is over now, but i do feel quite like the Big Mama Demon. of course, how lucky am i that they vaccinate for chicken pox now? i'd like to officially thank all y'all struggling college students who sold your plasma at the local biogenetics research station. it is because of y'all that my son will not get eaten up by the itchy bumps [and if he does, it will be very very mild]. from my sanity to yours, a very hearty goddess bless you! john got kicked off survivor last night. looks like his god complex finally kicked him in the ass. i loved how he cried in his last comments - hello, jerk, if you hadn't decided you were the Head Honcho, Absolute Monarch, Million-Dollar-Winner in week 2, you might have lasted longer. sean does need to go on home, but i'll wait. if the meek hadn't kicked out big boy now, they would've never had the numbers to do it again, so, congratulations. [and you know what they say about the meek...] this weekend is a javi-away and i plan to maximize it by doing as much work as fucking possible, including: birthday party (saturday), yard work w/ juan (sat), and stupid work on sunday. that vacation is looking more and more inviting, yet more and more elusive. hmm, did i mention hicham will arrive in rdu friday at 2pm. remember him? looks like yet another dilemma. but, they are what life's made of, so i guess i'll just suck it up...
