please tell me you're thinking of me! |

no one's updating and it's not even friday. i just got back from a work lunch to celebrate one man's struggle to get out of durham. hooray for him: he's moved up to garner. those in the know understand how funny that concept is.... anyway: i've got a story in my head. i've yet to finish my thesis novel, but i've got this short story in my head and i might write it today. it's about a girl who loves a girl who thinks she's a boy. not in a ftm kind of way, more like bobbie ann mason-ish. it's all about generational attitudes and gender typing and sex assumption and it is centered around hair (of course): both the abundance and lack of it. abundance = feminine OR primal lack of it = masculine OR sterile we'll see how it goes. of course, i always start my stories with a planned track, but they really write themselves. i love when i get to find out what happens!
you got something to say?
